The Masked Man
In the beautiful city of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu there lived a family with 4 members. Sanjit Kumar the head of the family came from the village to the city in 1976 at the age of 10 to support his poor family as so his parents could have money to eat and his brothers can have good education, years rolled by he started his own business at 1989 along with his brothers managed to bring his family to a middle class standard and got married to a beautiful woman Sanjana. Sanjana is a funny,intelligent and a beautiful woman who cherished her duty as a house wife cooked for her family with utmost love and looked after the children with utmost care. Sumitha is a 14 year old teenage daughter and Avinash 9 year old who sill has the innocence of a kid whose only ambition to play with his friends and have fun, the innocence which all man wants to have.
Sumitha and Avinash studied in the same school which was 1 KM away from their home, everyday morning they used to walk to school together and in the evening Avinash will walk back home with his friends since his sister had special classes because of her board exams that year. Suresh is a long time friend of Avinash they used to walk together in evening to home. Suresh's home is 100m before Avinash's home. So after leaving suresh in his home Avinash used to walk alone to his home those 100m, everyday when he reaches close to his house he used to run into his house. The reason he used to run is the house opposite to his home which is called as "THE GHOST HOUSE" by the people in that area.
In 1899, a cotton businessman lived in that house with his wife and 24 year old son Subin who was very much involved in the freedom fight movements. Unlike other non- violent freedom fighters he fought back the Britishers with violence. So the then British government ordered the police forces to kill Subin in his own house in a brutal way so that other people will be afraid to stand against Britishers. September 13th 1899, the British officers killed Subin and his family in his own house. 80 years later in 1979 a real estate owner bought that house and moved in with his family on the 13th day after they moved in the whole family commited suicide hanging themselfs in the hall, nobody knew the reason why they committed suicide. In, 1991, another family moved in to the house and they too died on the 13th day after moving in same way as the previous family. Soon rumors started to go around the city that the house is haunted by the Subin family and from then on that house is being called as "THE GHOST HOUSE".
13th August 2004, 1:20am The Kumar family was sleeping in their room except Avinash who could't sleep because he was so excited about the sports day coming tomorrow. He was selected for the 100m dash to represent his school team in U10 category. As he was thinking about his sport's day he heard a car sound out of his house. He got up from the bed and looked out through the window and saw a man with a white mask coming out of the car took something from the trunk and went into the ghost house. Avinash was so curious about what a man is doing in the ghost house at this time so he decided follow the man to see what he is doing. He came down and as soon as the man entered into the ghost house he went to the backside of the house and looked through the window into the hall. He saw the masked man doing something behind the sofa but he didn't know what he was doing since his view was blocked by sofa. After 15 mins the man left outside, as soon as he was gone Avinash jumped into the house through the window and went near the sofa to see what the masked man was donig. As he peeped over the sofa he saw the dead body of a young woman about 20 years old. The young girl was brutally murdered with several scratches on her face, her one eye was plugged out and a major cut in her forehead which was deep enough to make her skull visible.
After seeing this Avinash was freezed and before he could realize what he has seen he heard a crackling sound of a door opening, when he turned back he saw the masked man coming into the room. Avinash tried to escape through the window. But the masked man grabbed the foot of Avinash and pulled him back inside jumped on top of him tried to take his knife from his waist before he could do that avinash poked into the eyes through the hole in his mask face, kicked in his balls and escaped through the window. Masked man tried to catch him but he couldn't catch avinash with his week prosthetic leg. So he gave up chasing avinash.
Avinash went back to home called his father and told him everything, his father called to police and with some neighbors they went into the house but they couldn't find anything not even a single trace of the dead body and the masked man it was like he vanished into a thin air, Some people said the boy has gone crazy and some said it is the ghost of subin that the boy saw and many more rumors but only Avinash knew that what he saw was true and he decided to become a person who brings justice to murderess. 16 years later he became a Homicide investigator in CBI and caught many murderess and brought justice to the victims and to their families. But even after all these years his first case is still a mystery and every night he goes to bed he asks to himself.
